ASIA PACIFIC. TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen has hailed a “spirit of optimism” in the travel retail industry as the 21st TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference drew to a close yesterday (12 May).

Singapore showcase: A number of attendance records were set as TFWA celebrated the event's success

A record 2,905 visitors attended the event, a +12% increase on 2015. This included representatives from 1,186 companies (+14%), as well as 1,081 “key buyers” (+10%) from 273 companies (+5%).

Juul-Mortensen said the event highlighted Asia Pacific’s importance as a key focus for development and the long-term opportunities presented by duty free and travel retail as a sector.
