On the 11th, CERAGEM announced that it had opened the first cafe-type hands-on store, 'Welcafe' (Ceragem Wellness Lounge in the US), in West Hollywood, California, USA.

Well Café is a complex cultural space launched by CERAGEM in 2019, combining a cafe with relaxation and experience through healthcare appliances. There are 136 locations nationwide in Korea, and more than 2 million people visit annually.

The first Wellcafe in the US is about 280㎡, and visitors can experience CERAGEM health appliances such as Master V6, Fause M2, and Decore, etc. and also enjoy six kinds of traditional Korean teas, such as Ginger-Tangerine, Jeju Marigold Tea.

CERAGEM is expanding its scope by opening its first directly managed store in the US last year, and this year, it plans to discover various channels such as pop-up stores and distribution centers.

A CERAGEM official said, "We expect that Wellcafe will contribute to promoting Korean healthcare appliances in the US as it has played a central role in achieving a major step forward in Korea."

■세라젬, 미국에 웰카페 1호점 오픈... ‘한국 헬스가전 체험 확대'

세라젬이 미국 캘리포니아 웨스트할리우드에 카페형 체험 매장 '웰카페'(미국명 세라젬 웰니스 라운지) 1호점을 오픈했다고 11일 밝혔다.

웰카페는 세라젬이 2019년 국내에 처음 론칭한 복합문화공간으로 카페에 헬스케어 가전을 통한 휴식과 체험 등을 결합했다. 국내에서는 전국 136곳이 운영되고 있으며 연간 200만명 이상이 방문한다.

미국 웰카페 1호점은 약 85평 규모로 마스터 V6, 파우제 M2, 디코어 등을 체험할 수 있으며, 생강귤피차, 제주메리골드차 등 한국 전통차 6종 등도 제공한다.

세라젬은 지난해 미국에 첫 직영점을 여는 등 외연을 확대하고 있으며, 올해는 팝업스토어, 유통매장 진출 등 다양한 채널을 발굴한다는 계획이다.

세라젬 관계자는 “웰카페는 국내에서 괄목할만한 성장을 이루는 데 중심적인 역할을 해온 만큼 미국에서 한국의 헬스케어 가전을 알리는 데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다“고 말했다.
